Songbirds Series: Paul Childers Honors B.B. King

Many of you came to the Chuck Berry Birthday Bash back in October where Paul Childers rocked Chuck’s Gibson ES 355 TDSV guitar from our collection. The next concert in this series features BB Kings ES 355. King’s song, 3 O’ Clock Blues hit number 1 on February 2, 1952, so it seems like an appropriate to time to honor the king of the blues. Paul will play some of BB’s hits as well as present his own high energy show.

About Paul Childers

What will fans experience when they attend one of Childers high energy, guitar-driven shows?  A unique blend of pop, R&B, and soul.  Childers finds a way to blur the lines between Stevie Ray Vaughn, John Mayer, and Justin Timberlake while adding a nod to D’Angelo. Remarkably, he has the ability to bring a sense of intimacy to the stage.

When Childers performs live there is a Clark Kent-like transformation from mild-manner, suit-wearing gentleman into a guitar-slinging superhero.  A fun spectator sport is to watch audience’s faces when they witness a Childers’ performance for the first time. Cell phone cameras come out and dancing shoes go on!
